We’ve all heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Do you agree? Is all beauty contingent on a subjective point of view?

It’s not supposed to be a mission,

Hence the reason for no one definition,

An array of black, white or blue,

No one has a clue.

A series of complicated viewers,

Then you get the curious pursuers,

This one likes the charismatic,

Another thinks she’s too dramatic.

Hear the endless types of opinion,

One’s trapped in a solitary oblivion,

He thinks she’s alluring,

But ‘no man I think she’s obscuring’.

Hidden inside a book she looks shy,

Peel one layer; it’s all tech and hi-fi,

Each one is a stereotype,

But why do they feel the need to generalize?

Did you ever take a look inside?

Sleep deprived she cried,

He still asks ‘will you be my bride?’

Everything has beauty; some shine brightly on the outside whilst others require you to dig a little deeper. Don’t ever feel like you aren’t beautiful because you are. Beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes and yes it is subjective.
